KARA CRITCHLOW

Executive Director of Employment Services

Kara chose to join the HWF Employment Services team after nearly a decade of work with individuals with disabilities in various capacities including Employment, Residential, Community Services, and Direct Care.  She began her path in these fields by chance accepting a part-time job coaching position in 2008 and hasn't looked back since.  Over her tenure she has formed many partnerships within her communities served and consistently looks for new and creative ways to expand the possibilities for everyone she serves.  Kara is a Certified Employment Specialist and BIN Liaison, leading the Employment Services Team in the Central Indiana Region.  When not focusing on work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children.

TRESSIE KAUFMAN

Employment Specialist, Central Indiana Region

Tressie joins the HWF staff with excitement of helping others toward their career goals! Tressie comes from a background working for those struggling with Mental Illness and developmental disabilities within residential settings . Tressie has a vast knowledge of cultural diversities stemming from  her numerous national and world travels.  Tressie calls herself a "forever student" explaining she enjoys learning from each experience and person that comes into her life; she excited to learn from each client with HWF. Tressie is also a full time student, studying toward a Clinical Psychology degree with a minor in Recreational Therapy. 

DANIELLE FRANKO

Employment Specialist, Central Indiana Region

Danielle has been influenced by many encounters and events that have been catalysts for her passion and deeper commitment to positively impacting the under-served in her community. She spent a decade working in retail sporting goods until a sudden change led her to accept an Activities Assistant role at an Assisted Living Facility. Since that turn, she has acquired an array of experience serving others who face obstacles due to mental and physical disabilities in practices such as: directing activities for Assisted Living and Dementia care; art therapy; community and vocational services; and direct care. Danielle is dedicated to taking on challenges that help her grow in order to offer more specialized services to the individuals she connects with.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband and their two German Shepherds, making art in her studio, juggling, and going on adventures.

DAVID STRANGE

Employment Specialist, Central Indiana Region

David has worked in the social services field for the past seven years. He has spent time working as a Family Engagement Coordinator getting parents more involved in the school system, as a volunteer coordinator finding volunteers for an after-school youth service provider, a match specialist for a mentoring program, and a teaching assistant. He is an AmeriCorps alum serving two terms, one in Anchorage, AK and one in Indianapolis. Originally from Loogootee, IN, David graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in English Rhetoric and Writing.

When not working David enjoys watching soccer (Indy Eleven, Liverpool FC), baseball (St. Louis Cardinals), and basketball (Indiana Pacers). He also enjoys playing soccer, running, and throwing darts in his free time.

BECKY NICHOLS

Lead Employment Specialist, Southwest Indiana Region

Becky has a strong desire for serving others and working with them to achieve their goals.  Becky has many years of experience in case management, human resources and service coordination.  She has served in hospitals, residential settings, offices and with the Indiana Department of Child Services.  Becky is very upbeat and has a positive attitude in all she does.  She is also dependable, a quick learner, a good listener and detail oriented.  Becky is excited to return to employment services and focus on the individuals and their goals for employment, as well as removing barriers to those goals. Event planning is a passion of Becky's and she has her certificate as a certified corporate event planner and is also a certified EMT.  Becky has a Bachelor's of Science in Communications with a Minor in Psychology from University of Southern Indiana.

DREW WOLF

Office Manager

 

Drew has been with Help the World Foundation since 2016 and has held positions of grant writer and now assures all operations run smoothly as HWF’s Office Manager. Drew serves as the agency IT support, assists with compliance concerns, outcomes collecting and tracking of data for the HWF service areas and handles all billing for Employment Services.  No matter his role, he is always working hard to advance the foundational mission of helping the under-served. 

 

Drew has a B.S. in Psychology from the Ohio State University and a J.D. from Salmon P Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University.    He has many years of experience with customer service management and has served with the Cabinet for Health & Family Services in Kentucky.  An avid Buckeye fan, he also enjoys playing softball and tennis, watching college football and playing video games in his off hours.
